Paradiset SPA & Wellness

Case
Paradiset SPA required bespoke lighting and artistic ceiling details to complement their newly designed seating areas. The client sought pieces that were visually engaging yet harmonious with the surrounding interior — subtle but distinct, durable over time, and meeting at least IP44 standards (preferably IP65).
The scope included four seating areas: two with 2 seats and two with 4 seats, as well as the potential for a feature lamp or detail near the windows. The goal was to create an elegant, welcoming environment where the lighting and art pieces would interact with the furniture and interior design.

What we did
We began with an initial meeting with Mona Näslund at Inredningshuset Kinnarps to understand the client’s needs. Based on the discussion, I developed a series of proposals, including:
- Veil Lamps – Layers of brass mesh gently wrapped around a single pendant fixture, creating a soft, dynamic form. The mesh was folded in sections, allowing the light to filter through and spread in a beautiful flow. Each lamp was handcrafted and unique.
- Ceiling Decoration – Floating Butterflies – A dynamic composition of butterflies hanging from the ceiling to add a sense of movement and life. These was made in brass mesh and lit with RGB spotlights to match the room’s color palette.
The final order included 8 specially designed veil lamps arranged in groups above the seating areas, complemented by a concentrated butterfly installation, illuminated by a ceiling spotlight to create a cohesive and artistic detail in the room.
The outcome
The installations added visual depth and a sense of flow to the spa spaces while remaining harmonious with the interior. The veil lamps created gentle light and a soft, elegant focal point above the seating areas, while the butterfly installation introduced a dynamic and playful accent.
The project successfully enhanced the spa environment, providing both aesthetic appeal and functional lighting. Staff and visitors seems to appreciate the craftsmanship, and the unique design, and how the pieces elevated the overall ambiance of the rooms.
